Haen't updated in a while. It's because I'm busy. Much, much too busy. Like "I need to not work 40 hours a week" busy.|
School is going well, although there are moments of stress. Graduate school has so much more research involved in it. I know, who'da thunk it, right?
Thing is, it's hard to get to the library when you have about 10 free hours during the week, total, which includes time to et lunch, do chores, etc. And you would like to spend some of that time, oh, not doing things.
I'm such a complainer.
On the other hand, my Shakespeare class is laughably easy. I'm even reading other plays that weren't assigned (btw, Tim, thanks so much for the collected works you gave me a year or two ago. It saved me from having to pay bookstore prices.).
Of course, this leaves me a bit mentally drained, since reading Shakespeare is often work within itself.
I wrote a couplet about it:
Nothing so tir'ing, measure by measure;
as id'ly reading Shakespeare for pleasure.
It doesn't scan, I know. I'm not very good at the scanning thing.
The twins rock, btw. Grand Slam in the 1st? 5 ks through the 5th? one hit given up?
Gah, we're good. Bring it on, Detroit!
Steph and I are trying very hard to see more of each other when we're not lying down (don't be crude). We had lunch at Annie's today, which was quite nice. We've started watching the Daily show at midnight, which, while not good for sleeping, seems to be helping us feel like we actually live together. We're also going to go see the Crossword puzzle documentary this weekend (and dinner at the Duplex), along with possibly superman friday night (anyone who wants to be in downtown Minneapolis at midnight is welcome).
